FANTASTIC place to visit. Plenty of FREE parking, some great little shops and the Cafe offered really good food which was well priced. We had Sausage and Bacon Baps with Coffee, and the Baps were loaded with premium quality meat. Excellent flavour, great service and to top it all, The Old Smithy is very 'Dog Friendly'. Love the place, been before, will go again, a perfect place to visit, highly recommended

Great shops and Cafe. Free car park (unusual these days) Small Free garden to the rear of the shops provides some photos of local history, a garden shaped in the Isle of Wight and a fairy trail.

Lovely little place very clean lovely staff huge car park. You can sit in.or out. Lovely little gift shop attached

It is normally fully booked on a Sunday morning including the cafe so best to get there early and there is plenty of parking available but please watch out for the coaches.

The family at AtlasAdventured highly recommends visiting here! We had been staying in Shanklin on the Isle of Wight for a little over a month before we found this gem! We had spent the day at the Donkey Sanctuary, and afterwards we took the bus to Godshill. It is a very cute and small town, filled with thatch roofed houses. We came across a cute little shop, and were completely floored when we entered. We went into the cute gift shop first. They offer a lot of cute items. Everything would have made the perfect gift for someone! We noticed an open door towards the back of the store and it opened up to this beautiful lush garden. The gentleman working explained we could go walk around. This was one of the highlights of the day! The garden is filled with gnomes, fairies, miniature houses, and glass windows depicting different fairy scenes! There is a fish pond and a little house that has old pictures of the town and explains the history. Everything is so detailed and cute! There was another gift shop out in the middle of the gardens where I bought the most delicious smelling lotion! All of the items for sale are original, decently priced and of great quality. I thought this would be a quick trip into a gift shop, and it ended up being a 2 hour adventure! Beautiful spot to enjoy the day. Unfortunately we didn’t get the chance to enjoy the cafe, but that just means we’ll have to come back! I highly recommend visiting here if you are in the area. You could easily plan a whole day in the area.

Large free car park in congested village! Public service 5 stars right there. Queue and service both took a little while but it was busy, everything was prepared to order and it was delivered with a smile; don't go at lunchtime midsummer if you're in a hurry. The food quality, and as such the value for money, was very good! Fresh homemade quiche was indeed fresh and served with a nicely dressed, nicely presented, side salad. Children's lunch was designed and plated by someone who understands children; little things like prepping fruit and having snacks in open bowls make a child's lunch immediately accessable (ideal for hangry child). I didn't try any other eatery in gods hill but didn't see anything to make me regret my choice. I didn't have cake as I didn't want to queue again but it looked really good. I'd definitely go back. I'd encourage the staff to review the ordering and drinks prep to see how they could make this a bit slicker to get the queue down.

So good we went four times in a week!! Excellent fresh cakes and friendly smiley service, highly recommended!

Brilliant place, very dog friendly and great selection of food, drinks and cakes. The shop is also fantastic and has a great range of items.
